Sometimes I wish I could just pause my life. Usually it is to catch up when I am so far behind. This is how I am feeling RIGHT NOW. There are so many things that I want to be doing, or should be doing and I am not. Many of them make me feel guilty, or frazzled, or pushed to the point that I just want to yell. And I have....and I don't like it.
I also wish for a pause button because my kids are growing up too fast and I don't feel that I have a handle on it.
This post has no whitty conclusion, or funny ending.
I just want to PAUSE my life. Take a breath. Finish the unfinished. Laugh with my kids. Remember a moment.

  2. Do it! Everything else will still be there. Kids don't stop growing up... Believe an old woman. You'll never be sorry for the time you spend with your kids, but you will be sorry if you don't.

  3. I feel the same way daily. Joseph turns 9 Monday. HOW did THAT happen. I just had him last year it seems! The twins turn 2 in August. I do not even remember the last 2 yrs hardly. If it was not for pictures, I do not know if I would even remember what we'd experienced.

We should get our kids together. I don't live far from you at all. I am just north of 53rd & pine.

  5. I'm with Marion...
Do WHATEVER you want with the kids, and let the housework go... the scrapbooking can wait until late (when we're the most creative anyway!) it is hard, but you can't (and shouldn't) feel guilty... I know your a great mom... don't be so hard on yourself. If you hubby complains, show him where the vacuum is. :)

  8. Kim, I feel this way about 85% of my life. It's hard because you want to do everything -- have fun with the kids, make memories, cook, go places, take a shower, and still be able to have a somewhat presentable home where someone could sit down if they came over -- I'm right there with ya! Someday they'll all be grown up, then I can clean and scrapbook away my sadness but until then I try to just have fun with the kiddos (plus I just got someone to come clean my house every other week!).
