Fifteen

I don't have any real profound words:
I love this man.
We have a good life.
I am grateful.

Monday, Monday

{I have no pictures from this last weekend, so I am posting pictures from Easter weekend. On Saturday, we walked/rode the Duck Creek trail for the first time. I hate to admit that. I am so impressed with this trail. Craig and I walked while the kids rode their bikes. We had a great time. I am just sad that we didn't try this out years ago. It will be a definite activity throughout the spring, summer, & fall months to come.}
We had a busy weekend filled with soccer games, a fab play, errands, play dates, church, more soccer games, and it ended with a yummy dinner with friends. Craig was back in town on Friday after being out of town for the entire week. The whole house was clean for his return and by last night it was evidence of a fun-filled weekend. Fun, fun.

Wow.

{Photos courtesy of Tracey}

Today I have been cleaning up my computer and I found these photos. This group has been my creative 'home' for the past 2 years. I love this group of Rusty Pickle women. We have shared so much. Creative and non-creative, these women understand. It aches me to think that this will be no longer. I think this is part of the reason my creative spirit is on hiatus right now. I am in creative crisis mode right now. All of these girls continue to inspire me. They are from all over the USA and the world! And not all of them are even represented here. {There are several that wouldn't even come out into the cold with us!} Sigh, those are some good memories. Thank you.

Try

Try and keep on trying until that which seems difficult becomes possible and that which seems only possible becomes habit and a real part of you...

Happy 90th Birthday!

Edited: The punch used on this layout was a Fiskars flower punch. And this layout was inspired by my friend Lynn's layout.
Today is Grandma Wood's 90th Birthday! Hooray! We spoke to her on the phone yesterday and had a good laugh about all the family that got together to celebrate. I wish I could have been there...just to see her and Grandad dance. I saw a picture of this and it just melted my heart. I told her we would come and see her 'over the pond' on her 100th birthday! I also made this video {with the help of a good, good friend}. We love you, Grandma! Happy Birthday!

It is also my nephew, Cody's birthday today. Happy Birthday to the Codester!

CKC St. Louis {and my 501st post!}

I was workin' for the weekend....but it sure just felt like lots of fun! I went to St. Louis to teach for Rusty Pickle. It was 2 years ago that CKC St. Louis was the first 'official' teaching assignment for me with Rusty Pickle. Lynn went with me to sell off all the Rusty Pickle goodies! And we also went to dinner one night with two new friends: Amy and Crystal, from The PaperLife. We talked all things paper, creating, crafting, and more {so much more.} It was a good, good time.

Oh! And don't forget the traditional taking down the booth....this time I roped in my neighbor and friend {and her friends}. I hope she still talks to me after 'the grid' experience. Man! We get our hands dirty! Jazz Hands!
Good times, good times....
The last post I made was my 500th post...wow...and my friends say I don't post here much...ha! When I started this blog, it was a documentation of my life,a place to let our family know what was going on in 'the middle' of the US of A, and a space to keep my creativity flowing. I think it has done all these things and more, oh so much more...
Well I would like to give away a little RAK! Please leave a comment and I will draw a name {or names} for some goodies. Have a great Monday. ..

April Scraps...

These photos were taken at my Grandpa's birthday party. We held it at a park, which is so fitting for my Grandpa. Some of my happiest childhood memories were at the parks in Salt Lake City. He would always take us to parks to play. Christian and Sydnee were very shy with Grandpa at this event. Later, when we were driving home and I was telling Christian about Grandpa and all that I loved about him. Christian then told me that he just wished that Grandpa would take out his Halloween teeth! Out of the mouths of babes.... These pictures are of my Aunt Janet and Elaine. I am not sure when they were taken, but thought that maybe it was a first day of school pose, or another special occasion. I love and cherish these photos..love the long skirts and ruffle shirts.

Here are two creations with the April Kit! I still have some other work that is in process...so come back later this week for some more goodness from The Story Matters.
