I'm just bringin' stuff up...

This past weekend, we were driving home from an afternoon of fun and my son would not stop talking! Craig and I were so elated by all the 'stuff' he was sharing with us. About church highlights, his friends' birthday party from last weekend, The Lightning Thief movie, etc. Now this isn't a usual occurance with our pre-teen. Usually he just answers our questions with one-word answers, and nothing more. I was loving it....wishing he wouldn't stop. But then we pulled into the driveway and as he went to get out of the van he said...
I'm just bringin' stuff up...

  1. Oh my goodness, that last picture! What treasures you have! Do you have a date on it? I think I need a good copy of it. :-)

Christian has just a bit in common with his cousins at my house!

  5. I love Christian. I can totally hear him say that. Wish I could get more out of my boys. When anyone finds the answer to that let me know.

  7. That's awesome! Emma seems to think that when we get in the car that we are prisoners there for her enjoyment. She is so quiet in social settings, but she saves it all for us. Thanks for reminding me that I need to treasure these times, because sometimes I feel like I just need some quiet.

  8. Oh.... I'm so there with you. It's amazing what a car drive can do for teen/parent relationships.
