On Feb. 2, 2005...

I took my four month old baby to the doctor. She was a healthy 12 lbs. 8 oz. She was 24 inches long and her head size was 40.5 cm {the big head comes from the burton side of the family.} I took my daughter to the doctor again on Dec. 11, 2006. She was now over 2 years old and was 32 inches tall, weighed 24.6 lbs, and her head was not measured, but I am sure that it was starting to be proportional to her body. Sigh.
Today is Sept. 29th, 2009. My baby is five.

My baby is five.

She weighs 38 pounds and she is 39 inches tall. She loves to go to school and is a social butterfly. She loves her friends and her family. Fruits and vegetable are also a fave. She loves to snuggle and swings on her dad's leg every night when he gets home from work. She has to have a book read to her before bedtime and sleeps with her door open. She adores every show on PBS Kids and also loves a good movie. She has a loud voice....and she gets that from me.
Happy Birthday.
I love you and I know you think you are getting bigger, but you will always be my baby.

You Sweet Thing!

This mini album was designed by fellow Rusty Pickle chef: Jill Cornelius. I fell in love with it's coolness and asked her if I could recreate it and teach it as a class! This weekend it will make it's debut at Delta Phi Scrappa in Des Moines. I am very excited to teach and connect with more scrappers in the Midwest! Hope to see you there!

Rusty Pickle Blog Hop

Welcome everyone! One of my favorite Rusty Pickle products: yummy chipboard! I love altering the chipboard and my favorite medium for covering the chipboard is with Glimmer Mist. It is easy, and dries fast! I used Vintage Pink on the heart above....

I know this layout is simple...just the way I like it. I remember standing in Independence Hall and having an overcoming feeling of gratitude. I took this picture on an old cobblestone road to remember. Another fave Rusty Pickle product: letter stickers!
This layout was created with my FAVORITE RUSTY PICKLE PAPER LINE evah! School Daze!

This is also a quote from my favorite children's song by Raffi. It reminds me of my kids....they love dancing to that one...
On this layout I used Glimmer Mist on the chipboard frame {Sunflower} then blended Black Soot Distress Ink over the top with my blending tool. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy!

Have a fun and fabulous weekend....

I have also been obsessing about some new decorating within my house...wanting to paint and add some new pillows, etc. to change up some of the old decor.

I have been circling my favorites from the fall Pier 1 catalog....so many cool, classic items. Go take a look! {Did you see the counter-height desk on page 25? a girl can dream...}

I'm Fixin' to...

tell you about my trip to Nashville! I had a wonderful time at CKC....it was actually a rockin' time. We had a great sale of our 'mystery bags' with the help of our new friend Stefan....& the classes went great. I had some great students and volunteers....then after all that fun, I went to The Sassy Scrapper and had some more! Classes on Saturday night and Sunday were such a good time...every trip I feel like I leave learning some new things and meeting some great people that are now friends. Thanks Nashville!

Sassy Scrappers!

Late Night Crew...

It is my rule if anyone wants a picture with me...I get a picture with them on my camera! Thanks ladies! Hope you had a fab time at the Creating Keepsakes Convention!

Happy Birthday Grandpa! {2 days late}

We love you! This is what the kids said today about why they love Grandpa:
Christian: He likes to go golf with him and he takes him fun places.
Sydnee: She likes to draw with him. He is a very good artist.
Ella: She loves Grandpa because he likes to play with her...even with her dolls.
